'Ello all. I am a fifteen teen year old grrl who is rather new to the whole scene. I discovered feminism from my second waver (who was also part of the LA punk scene during the late seventies through mid eighties) mother, which in turn introduced me to third wave culture. At the same time I began to get more involved in punk and indie music. The combination of these things eventually led me to the riot grrl subculture. That's basically where I was as of last week. -__- Speaking there really isn't much of an anything scene in small town New Mexico(especially in my town, which is mostly rich, white, heterosexual, and conservative families- the person who guess which town it is gets a Kuppie Doll except not really) I've been doing most of my activity over the internet, and trying to find ways to get to Santa Fe and Albuquerque as much as possible to explore and meet people.

What else is there to know about me? I enjoy music(duh!), but my favorite bands change so frequently that there is no real point in listing them here. Creative writing is my life, but I also love to draw, make or play music(I sing and kinda sorta play piano), do anything involving and theater, sew, knit, read ANYTHING, make comics, and make movies! There are my friends and family, who I love to death and dominate a good chunk of my life. And of course there is school, which usually rules my life(unfortunately) but it's summer right now(thank god).

So yeah, I'm really excited to be part of this community. I think the net has huge potential as a community builder. But I also think I've been narcissistic enough for one day. I'm off to explore this site a little more!
